Way back in September a group of us took a 2.5hour road trip up to North Arm Cove where we rented a house on the water for the weekend. It was meant to be a nice relaxing weekend to celebrate Paul's 30th bday. It ended up being a very fun weekend, however the drive up was an adventure. Drama always seems to happen when you have a bunch of American's trying to navigate out of Sydney.
Our house for the weekend
Low tide...the cove we were staying on had a bunch of oyster farms. Here you can see the oyster pillars sticking out of the water. Made it somewhat difficult to paddle through with the kayaks.
High tide
Spent the first day paddling through the cove. Gorgeous shot of the boats just glistening in the afternoon sun
Who needs Darwin, when you can see 'The Rock' from a rest stop on the highway
We drove out to the town of Hawks Nest to check out the ocean views.
Sand dunes... I wish we had some 4WD to play in the sand
Had to get a shot of me!
Playing in the sand
Hunting for shells
Love the group jump shots
Trying out best at some karate kid action
Had to try out the local oysters from their very own Oyster Hut
Not a very big menu
The salty old fisherman sold whatever he caught that day
Even though it started POURING out, the boys still managed to cook up a wonderful BBQ. Great end to a fun weekend.
